In 1991, CORIMA has started to launch monobloc carbon wheels dedicated to athletic wheelchairs.
These carbon wheels are subjected to extreme conditions. The inclined position of the wheel creates tremendous pressure on the inner sides and the forces applied by the athletes on the push-rims requires the wheels to be strong and stiff. It’s for these performance criteria that CORIMA wheels are considered as the best on the market by handisport athletes.
The external side of the DISC C+ is completely blank (without holes) which offers a better aerodynamics and is therefore more technically adapted to the user.
The front carbon wheel 20” (500C) is extremely light. The rim and the hub have been redesigned to improve the aerodynamics performance. The complete wheel is even lighter while keeping its strength and its stiffness.
